How To Deal With Negative People and Dream Stealers

With someone you know who was it to discourage you out of business? Those who are negative,  pinakitaan mo ng magandang opportunity pero hindi sang-ayon at kontra pa sayo? Yung mga nagsasabi na HINDI maganda yang idea na yan o
 kaya naman nagsasabi sayo na hindi mo kaya yan. Ang tawag sa mga taong ‘to ay mga “Dream Stealers”.

Napaka daming Dream Stealers sa paligid natin. Sila yung mga tao na kahit hindi mo tinatanong ng opinyon ay may opinyon padin. Malalaman mong dream stealer ang isang tao kapag ganito yung mga sasabihin nila sa’yo…

“Naku sila lang yumayaman dyan”
“Mahirap yan”
“Nasubukan na yan ng kilala ko, mahirap yan”
“Magagaling lang ang yumayaman dyan”
“Kaylangan dyan madiskarte”
“Una-una lang yan”
“Ikaw yayaman? Sus! Mangarap ka!”

Ang mga Dream Stealers ay pwedeng maging kapamilya o kakilala natin…

Kamag-anak, kaibigan, karelasyon, co-workers, etc. Meroong dalawang tipo ng dream stealers. 

1) The Unintentional Dream Stealer:

Eto yung mga tao na nagdi-discourage at nagbibigay ng negative opinions sa mga taong malapit sa kanila pero hindi sila aware na nakaka-discourage na pala sila ng kapwa nila. Yung mga sinasabi nila, hindi nila alam na negative pala ang mga yun. Wala silang intention na masama at hindi nila sinasadya na makapag discourage ng tao. Ang madalas na dahilan kung bakit sila NEGATIVE ay dahil concern lang sila sa’yo. 

2) The Intentional Dream Stealer

Malaki ang problema ng mga taong ‘to. Sila yung mga tipo ng tao na lahat ay gagawin nila para lang makapang discourage ng ibang tao “intentionally”. Ayaw nila na makita kang maging successful kaya ka nila sasabihan ng kung ano-anong negatibong bagay para lang ma-discourage ka. Kadalasan ang pakay nila, ay makapang-discourage ng tao para di makagawa ng aksyon para ka maging successfull. Importante na maging aware tayo kung sino ba ang mga dream stealer sa buhay natin. Kung sa tingin mo na kaya mong maging successful sa isang career or kahit saan pa man, ang pakinggan mo lang ay ang sarili mo. Pakingan mo din yung mga taong nakarating na sa gusto mong puntahan at yung mga taong susuporta sa’yo at gusto kang tulungan. Maniwala ka na kaya mong maabot lahat ng pangarap mo. Maniwala ka na kaya mong makuha ang lahat ng gustuhin mo dahil ikaw ay may infinite potentials. Lahat tayo ay may mga Dream Stealers sa buhay natin. Once na maging aware ka na kung sino-sino sila, pwede mong ma-block yung mga negative opinions na binibigay nila. How do you block the negative opinions of dream stealers?

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

This is one of my favorite verse in the bible.  I feel I have a better understanding of the true meaning. "plans to prosper you and not to harm you", I believe this verse still has a very powerful message: God knows us personally, has a plan for us, and allows us to find hope in Him.

I understand that not all Christians are prospered financially (the way many of us would like to interpret the verse). If that were the case, wouldn’t all Christians be rich? What about those who live in third world countries, have little or nothing and suffer daily for the sake of Christ? I know there are Christians who are stronger in their faith than I am, have less than I do, and deserve more. I believe that it is God’s plan to prosper us all in the same way. The important is we must not sit around and do nothing. We must act and grab the opportunity. It is a big challenge in our life. It is important to learn to take risks if we want to be happy and prosperous. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled
